01

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They can remember settings between pages and visits. Browser local storage works similarly and we treat it under the same rules as cookies for the purposes of this policy.

02

What we use

We use strictly-necessary cookies and local storage only. Today that is limited to a single local storage entry (ushii.consent) which records that you have seen our notice bar so we don't show it again. No analytics cookies, no advertising cookies, no social-network trackers, no cross-site tracking.

03

Third parties

We do not embed third-party trackers on this site. Our hosting provider may set short-lived security cookies to protect the site from abuse; these are strictly necessary and do not identify you.

04

Consent

Under the UK's Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the UK GDPR, cookies that are strictly necessary for a service you have requested do not require consent. Because we set only strictly-necessary storage today, our notice bar is informational — it asks you to acknowledge that the site uses it, and links here and to our privacy policy. If we ever add analytics or marketing cookies, we will switch to a full consent banner (accept / reject / manage) and will not set those cookies until you have given consent.

05

Controlling cookies in your browser

You can block or delete cookies and local storage from your browser settings at any time. Support pages: Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge. Blocking our strictly-necessary storage will not stop the site working — it will simply mean the notice bar reappears on your next visit.

Middle East visitors

For visitors in the UAE, Dubai and the wider Middle East, this policy is intended to also meet the cookie and transparency expectations of the UAE PDPL and the DIFC and ADGM data protection regimes. Any questions specific to your jurisdiction can be sent to info@ushii.uk.
